DoonRooms Community is a place for people in Dehradun to ask questions, share requirements, and help each other out — finding a room, settling into a new area, or anything else about living here. A few simple rules keep it useful and safe for everyone.

Be respectful

No harassment, hate speech, personal attacks, or discrimination based on religion, caste, gender, region or anything else. Disagree with an idea, not with the person.

Keep it relevant

Posts should be a genuine problem, requirement, or piece of guidance related to living in or moving to Dehradun — rooms, PGs, localities, services, safety, and similar topics. Off-topic promotions, unrelated ads, or spam will be removed.

No scams or misinformation

Don't post fake listings, misleading information, or anything intended to defraud another user. Verify what you share where you can, and don't ask others for money, passwords, or OTPs in Community.

Protect your own privacy

Avoid posting your phone number, exact address, or other personal details directly in a public post — use in-app chat once a genuine conversation starts.

No brokerage or unrelated business pitches

Community is for peer-to-peer help, not a channel for brokers, agents, or unrelated businesses to solicit customers.

Reporting

If a post or reply breaks these guidelines, use the report option on it. A reported post is temporarily hidden right away while our team reviews it, and either restored or removed depending on what we find. Repeated violations can lead to a user being restricted from posting.

These guidelines may be updated from time to time. Continued use of Community means you agree to follow the current version, alongside our Terms & Conditions.
